I’m a climber and a PA-C, I began this blog while working as a sole medical provider at a remote site in the North Pacific with an approximate 12 hour MedEvac to Honolulu. I completed my master’s degree in medical science from Yale University School of Medicine in 2009. Before PA school I spent nearly 15 years climbing rock and ice, spending much of that time on the road and guiding professionally, in between I worked, what Douglas Coupland would call, “McJobs” too numerous to count, everything from a bar back to a sail maker’s apprentice. Over the course of that time I accrued some rare experiences and met some impressive people who perhaps in spite of themselves helped me along and out the door on to the next adventure.
